The short version
Flip It has no account, no sign-up and no adverts. It does not ask who you are and it has no way of finding out. It can send anonymous gameplay statistics, and you can turn that off in the game.

What the game can send
To understand how the game is actually played — which houses stall people, how long a run takes — Flip It can send anonymous gameplay statistics. If it does, this is all of it:
- A random id made up on the device the first time the game runs, and kept on the device. It is not derived from your phone, your account or anything about you, and it is not an advertising identifier. It exists so two events can be known to come from the same install.
- A session id for one sitting.
- Event names and gameplay numbers — which screen, which house, how much cash, whether a sale cleared.
- A three-letter name, and only if you choose to sign a high score with one. You type it yourself.
These go to a database hosted by Supabase, which stores them on our behalf and does not use them for anything of its own.
On iPhone and iPad, none of it is sent at all. The App Store version keeps every one of those numbers on your device. The statistics above apply to the version that runs in a web browser.
What it never sends
- No name, email address or account of any kind — there is no sign-in.
- No contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera. The game never asks for these permissions.
- No location.
- No advertising identifier, and no identifier issued by the operating system.
- No payment details. Anything you pay goes through Apple and Flip It never sees it.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs from third parties inside the app.
How to turn it off
Open the … menu in the game and use the opt-out. It is remembered permanently for that install, and from then on nothing is sent at all.
High scores and Game Center
The leaderboard is optional. If you sign a score, the three letters you type go up with the number and are shown to other players. Do not type anything there you would not want a stranger to read.
On iPhone and iPad the score may also go to Game Center, which is Apple’s own service and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one. If Game Center is switched off on your device, nothing goes to it.
Your saved game
Your progress — the run, the ladder, the home you build in YOUR PLACE — is stored on your own device and is never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes it.
Children
Flip It is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children specifically. It collects nothing that could identify a child, has no chat and no way for players to message each other.
Questions, or a request to delete
Email, and say so. Because the id is random and anonymous, the practical way to remove an install’s statistics is to tell us roughly when you played and on what — or simply use the opt-out, which stops anything further.
